
Jaime Jarrett (they/them, he/him) is a transgender and queer Philly/NYC based composer, lyricist, librettist, music director, educator, and theatre maker.
Their work has been developed with institutions across the country, including The National Alliance for Musical Theatre, 5th Avenue Theatre, Musical Theatre Factory, American Musical Theatre Project at Northwestern University, The University of the Arts, MusiCoLab, The Ucross Foundation, and Temple University. He is a recipient of NAMT's Frank Young Fund and NYMF's Outstanding Emerging Artist Award.
Jaime is currently developing several projects, including Wonder Boy (a transgender superhero musical) and a part-verbatim musical inspired by interviews with J.K. Rowling.
They are a featured writer in Playbill's Songwriter Series, and a member of Musical Theatre Factory's inaugural Makers Co-Hort of 2019-2020, Fresh Ground Pepper's 2021 Playground Playgroup, and the BMI Lehman Engel Advanced Musical Theatre Workshop/First-Year Librettist Workshop.

Jaime has worked on music direction teams at The Public Theatre, New York Stage & Film, Soho Rep, Playwrights Horizons Downtown, and ANT Fest with Ars Nova.
They recently earned their MFA in Musical Theatre Collaboration at Temple University, where he premiered two original musicals and taught undergraduate courses in Queer Theatre and Lyric Writing. He currently teaches voice, piano, and performance at Wolf Performing Arts Center in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania.
